Previously staff may have shared files and folders using the Share ShareButton and directly adding users via their email. This is now depreciated as all staff that need access to that file/folder already have access due to the groups they belong to.


Instead, If you wish to share a Folder or File located on the Shared drives please do the following;


  1. On your device, go to drive.google.com.
  2. Click the folder you want to share.
  3. Click Add approver Share .
  4. On the bottom of that page, click Get shareable link.
  5. Copy and paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
  6. Only those that are allowed to access that file or folder will be able to view them


Alternatively, You Can also;


  1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
  2. Click the folder you want to share.
  3. Click Get Link.
  4. Copy and paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
  5. Only those that are allowed to access that file or folder will be able to view them
